Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and the name you give us. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider.

Room photos and designs. The photos you upload, the redesigned images we generate from them, and the projects, rooms and versions you create.

Design preferences and chat. The style, budget, room type, colours, materials, location and notes you choose for a room, and the messages you send to the design assistant.

Saved items and activity. Products and looks you save, pieces you pick for a redesign, and your credit balance and usage.

Technical information. When you use Foldspace our hosting providers log standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages requested, which we use to keep the service running and secure.

If you choose “Continue with Google”, Foldspace requests only your basic profile: your name, email address and profile picture. We use this data solely to create and sign you in to your Foldspace account, show your name and picture in the app, and send you account emails such as sign-in and password messages.

We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI or machine-learning models. We share it only with the service providers that run Foldspace on our behalf (listed below), and only as needed to provide the service.

Foldspace's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove Foldspace's access at any time from your Google Account connections.

• To create and secure your account and sign you in.
• To generate room redesigns and suggest products that fit your photo and preferences.
• To answer your messages in the design assistant and keep your chat history with each room.
• To keep track of your credits and saved items.
• To send account emails, such as confirmation codes and password resets.
• To prevent abuse, such as automated sign-ups and disposable email addresses.
• To fix problems and improve how Foldspace works.

To make a redesign, we send your room photo, your design preferences and your instructions to a third-party AI image model that generates the new image. Product searches send only search terms describing the pieces we're looking for; your photo stays out of them.

Foldspace does not use your photos, designs or messages to train AI models. Your photos and renders are stored in private storage and are shown only to you through time-limited links.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run Foldspace:

• Infrastructure providers: hosting, database, private file storage and account sign-in.
• AI providers: generating redesigned room images from your photo and preferences.
• Product search providers: finding real products for your designs, using search terms only.
• Email providers: sending account emails.
• Security providers: protecting the sign-up form from bots and abuse.
• Sign-in providers: Google or Apple, if you choose to sign in with them.

Each provider may use your information only to perform its service for Foldspace, under contracts that require them to keep it confidential and secure.

When you click through to buy a product, you go to that retailer's site, and its own privacy policy applies. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your browser's local storage holds your cart, order history, a copied design reference and pieces waiting for a room's next redesign. That data stays on your device, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.

We keep your account and designs for as long as your account is open. When you delete a project or room, we hold it for 30 days so it can be restored, then permanently delete it along with its photos and renders. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account, photos, designs and saved items within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep a record.

You can view and edit your profile in Settings, and delete projects and rooms at any time. To download a copy of your data or delete your account, email hello@getfoldspace.com from the address on your account.

Depending on where you live, including the EU, UK and California, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to or restrict how we process it. We honour these requests for everyone, wherever you live, and we'll respond within 30 days.

Data is encrypted in transit, photos are kept in private storage, and each account can reach only its own data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us at hello@getfoldspace.com if you notice anything unusual.

Foldspace is for people aged 16 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Foldspace and its providers operate in the United States and other countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. We rely on our providers' standard safeguards for these transfers.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes we'll also tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
